Weeden: Senior Bowl's top stock riser

Weeden came into the week with the opportunity to show he has the skills to become a starter in the NFL and that he is better than the other five quarterbacks in attendance, including Arizona's Nick Foles , who grades out in the same late-first- or early-second-round area. From the first practice, Weeden was confident and seemed to embrace the opportunity.

Colton Chelf Makes Most of Opportunity

Nearly two days had passed since Stanford's field goal wobbled wide left, Oklahoma State's sailed true and the Cowboys celebrated a season — and a Fiesta Bowl — like no other, but Colton Chelf was still having trouble wrapping his head around all of it.

“It still doesn't really feel real,” he said midday Wednesday.

Rest assured, Colton, it was.

And what's more, the reserve receiver was a very real part of it. This was a game with plenty of orange-clad stars, but none was more surprising than Chelf. None was more deserving.

The former walk-on had career highs in catches and yards receiving, including a huge play in overtime that set up the Cowboys' game-winning kick. On a night when plenty of subplots got lost in the craziness of the game, Chelf's story is worth rewinding.

Oklahoma State Caps Greatest Season In School History

OSU Made Best Use of its Time in Fiesta Bowl

Oklahoma State's reputation as a team that scores in a hurry is well-deserved. Just ask Stanford.

The third-ranked Cowboys' 41-38 overtime victory against the No. 4 Cardinal in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl on Monday might have come down to field goals, but it was set up by the lightning-quick response they had to every Stanford score.

Oklahoma State (12-1) played catch-up all night. It never led until Quinn Sharp kicked a 22-yard field goal in the extra period. The Cowboys prevailed because they moved the ball long distances in short periods when they needed to most, sparked by the pitch-and-catch combination of Brandon Weeden and Justin Blackmon.

The longest of Oklahoma State's five touchdown drives took 2 minutes, 23 seconds. After falling behind 14-0 in the second quarter, the Cowboys pulled even by scoring twice in the space of 2:02 on drives of 84 and 67 yards.
