STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy has announced the hiring of Jason Ray to coach OSU’s receivers.
Ray, a native of Porter, Okla., spent the past four years at Wyoming. He coached the UW running backs his first three seasons in Laramie before taking over the Cowboy receiving corps in 2012.
“We’re very excited to add Jason Ray to the staff,” Gundy said. “He is an enthusiastic coach who brings a lot of energy to the staff. He has a great offensive mind.”
Ray holds a degree in marketing from Missouri. He was a receiver for the Tigers from 2003 through 2007 and during his time in Columbia he was part of four bowl teams. He was also an Academic All-Big 12 selection and a member of the Commissioners Honor Roll. Ray was voted president of the Missouri Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as a senior, and he was a team captain for Missouri’s 12-win team in 2007.
Prior to joining the staff at Wyoming, Ray was a development associate with the Tiger Scholarship Fund.
