Indoor Practice Facility

Oklahoma State has started construction on its new $16 million indoor practice facility.

Construction of the Sherman E. Smith Training Center began on Aug. 1 and is currently underway on the north side of Boone Pickens Stadium.  The facility demonstrates the commitment Oklahoma State has made to its football program.

The training center is part of the university's grand plan for an athletics village to be funded through donations.

Oklahoma State will have three fields outside and one inside the facility.  Two of the three fields outside will be natural grass.  The 92,000-square-foot facility will have garage-style doors that will allow for easy transition from field to field.  A covered, 100-yard sprint track will be located on the west side of the building.
