OSU Breaks Season Ticket Record

STILLWATER, Okla. – For the second time in three years, Oklahoma State has sold more season football tickets than ever before.

Just after 3 p.m. Monday, the ticket office confirmed a new record with sale of ticket No. 45,695. The previous record of 45,694 was set in 2009.

Of the total number of tickets sold so far, 10,204 are student tickets.

With five days remaining before the season opener, that number will likely increase through kickoff. The Cowboys begin the 2011 season Saturday at 6 p.m. when they take on Louisiana at Boone Pickens Stadium.

OSU enters the year ranked No. 9 in the AP poll, marking the second time in three years the Cowboys have started the season in the top 10.
